Allegiant Travel Company said that its Allegiant Air subsidiary has chosen to exit the Cuban family charter programs that it currently flies for five separate charter program sponsors and has therefore recently exercised the 120-day notice periods to cancel the relevant contracts.

The number of international visitors to Las Vegas has risen over the past few years, even as total visitation has declined, according to figures from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. In 2007, Las Vegas had 39.2 million visitors, including 4.7 million international visitors (12 percent of the total). In 2008, the total visitor count dropped to 37.5 million, but the international number jumped by 900,000 for an increase to 15 percent of the total visitor count.
