History lessons don't come any more spectacular than at El Morro castle in Santiago de Cuba. Perched nearly 200 feet above the Caribbean Sea, guarding entrance to the city's harbor, the fortress offers dramatic vistas of Cuba's rugged south coast as well as a peek at local pirate history.
Australian-American composer and director Lee Joseph Bracegirdle has premiered his “Variations for Orchestra” in Cuba and Santiago de Cuba’s Dolores Concert Hall hosted this development. The concerts were held on the 22nd, 8:30 p.m., and Sunday 23rd, 5 o’clock, with performances by this city’s Symphonic Orchestra.
