Under the title, “Cancun and the Treasures of the Caribbean,” the Cancun Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is launching its integral 2010 marketing campaign, the main theme of which incorporates surrounding islands and destinations.

Delta, the world’s largest airline, will launch its non-stop service to Grenada earlier than planned, as the island moves to beef up its efforts to lure more international flights to the destination.

A chartered Boeing 747-400F flew to neighboring Santo Domingo from the United Arab Emirates last Friday (19 February) on behalf of the United Nations World Food Program. The aircraft carried 14 Land Cruiser pick-up vehicles, loaded bumper-to-bumper on the main deck, together with generators and toilets. All relief supplies came from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai.

Costa Crociere said three crew members were killed when the Costa Europa struck a pier while docking in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt, early Feb. 26. Three passengers and one other crew member were injured and taken to the hospital. The ship sustained damage on its right side, reportedly a six-foot gash, according to overseas media reports, but was safely docked.

Wynn Resorts, Limited has released its financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended Dec. 31, 2009. Net revenues for the fourth quarter of 2009 were $809.3 million, compared to $614.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2008, a 31.7 percent increase.
