Virgin Atlantic has announced it is withdrawing its services as a result of increasing fuel costs and rising Air Passenger Duty (APD). Flights between Nairobi and London will be discontinued from September 24.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Virgin Atlantic became the first British airline to permit calls on board flights. As of today, passengers flying between London and New York on Virgin's A330 Airbus will be able to not only make calls, but also to send and receive text messages and have web access via GPRS.
