Haiti’s Sunrise Airways is continuing its Caribbean expansion. The carrier will soon be launching flights from its hub in Port-au-Prince to Santiago de Cuba in Cuba. The flights will begin Oct. 30, marking the carrier’s first-ever regularly-scheduled passenger service to Cuba.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced Pieter Elbers has been appointed by the KLM Supervisory Board president to the position of chief executive of KLM, replacing Camiel Eurlings. The surprise move will see Elbers take over immediately, ahead of the end of Eurlings’ contract in April 2015.
Oneworld has unveiled a series of significant upgrades to oneworld events, its one-stop, easy-to-use travel service for the conventions, conferences, exhibitions and special events markets. Expansion of the network covered by oneworld events to almost a thousand destinations in more than 150 countries is also expected to boost the service.
A group of Caribbean countries have announced bans on entry to foreigners who have travelled through the three West African countries most affected by Ebola. Jamaica said it would not accept travellers from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone for the time being.
