Caribbean resort company Elite Island Resorts is offering a fifth free night to travelers who book stays between November 28 and Dec. 2, 2013 for stays from now through Dec. 20, 2013 at the company’s participating resorts in Antigua, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, Saint Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The island of Saint Lucia continues to be recognized in key award categories, with five of the island’s hotels receiving recognition at the Virgin Holiday Awards. Launched in 2004, the prestigious awards are run during World Travel Market and pay tribute to some of the world’s leading hotels.

Ramon’s Village Resort on San Pedro Island in Belize will be fully operational by Dec. 20, according to town officials quoted in local media reports. The resort was gutted in an August fire that also disrupted electrical power across the island.

A new boutique, luxury hotel on Barbados's vibrant south coast is finding its niche and enjoying success in an area typically known for its mid-market properties. Caribbean hotelier Ralph Taylor is reporting positive results since The SoCo Hotel opened in June.
