Sun Country Airlines has begun flying to Washington Reagan International Airport from Minneapolis. The new service is six times a week through April 30 and will be daily beginning May 1. The roundtrip flights will originate in Minneapolis/St. Paul, with an intermediate stop at the Capital Region International Airport in Lansing, Mich., before continuing onto Washington, D.C.

Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, announces that beginning in April, it will operate new routes to and from various Mexican cities, in addition to an increase in seats and frequencies, thanks to the addition of new planes to its fleet. Lufthansa announced today that it will be the first airline to offer scheduled Airbus A380 service to Miami with daily flights between Frankfurt, Germany, and Miami beginning on June 10.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch thrice-weekly service to Jose Marti International Airport in Cuba from Amsterdam starting 31 October. Cuba will then become KLM’s 68th intercontinental destination. The flights to Cuba will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Schiphol at 13:15 hours and arriving in Havana at 17:45 hours.

On March 17, 2011, Mexico’s low-cost carrier Volaris introduced service between Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport and Oakland International Airport. The company will launch the new service beginning May 6 with daily flights
