Copa Airlines will launch new direct service to Boston, Massachusetts its 8th US route and boost frequency of flights to three of its key sites; plus expand fleet, according to the airline s newly revealed growth strategy for the first half of this year. Copa is still making investments to expand its Hub of the Americas in Panama.

A budget airline that services United Kingdom and European destinations has announced that it may sack around 300 staff, approximately 10 per cent of current UK based employees. Flybe’s Chief Executive, Jim French, said that the decision was ‘not taken lightly’ by the airline’s board.

Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A. announced its growth plan for the first half of 2013, which includes the start of new nonstop service to Boston, Massachusetts in the United States; an increase in flight frequencies to three of its main destinations; and expansion of its fleet. 

Air Canada has become the only international network carrier in North America to receive a Four-Star ranking according to independent U.K. research firm Skytrax. The much-coveted rating is considered an airline industry benchmark.

JetBlue Airways announced plans to add daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica, effective June 27, 2013.
