Increasingly a draw for travelers intrigued by its natural, cultural and mystical attractions, Guatemala is heading into its prime tourist season off a steady pattern of growing arrivals.
St Kitts and Nevis has opened the largest greenhouse in the Caribbean region in a project described as “a dream come true.” That was expressed by Taiwan’s resident ambassador, Miguel Li-Jey Tsao, at a ceremony marking the official opening of the St Kitts Eco-Park (SKEP).
The recent elimination of the need for Chinese tourists to obtain a visitor’s visa to vacation in Jamaica is expected to play a major role in attracting nationals from that country, says Tourism and Entertainment Minister, Dr. Wykeham McNeill.
Prime Minister Freundel Stuart believes that Barbados must take back the Canadian tourism market: "There was a time when Canada was Barbados’ principal source market for tourists. Your presence here tonight is intended to be, among other things, a signal that we must recapture the Canadian market"
The charter flights from Kennedy Airport, due to begin in the spring, will be operated by Sun Country Airlines on Boeing 737-800 aircraft in a two-class configuration. The company also offers Cuba charters from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa.
The MegaFam organized by Meier´s Weltreisen returns to Cuba. The event’s main seminar is set to take place at Valentín Perla Blanca Hotel, Cayo Santa María. The participants are going to visit important tourism circuits, such as Havana, Varadero, Trinidad, Holguín and Cayo Santa María.
