Budapest Airport (BA) has completed the installation of its new passenger security systems. As a result, the passenger security screening process has been significantly accelerated and queues at Ferihegy have been spectacularly reduced, or have disappeared completely.

Paul Pennicook has been named president of International Lifestyles, the worldwide representative of SuperClubs. Mr. Pennicook resigned as Air Jamaica’s senior vice president sales and marketing in late August.

Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT) has announced that with effect from 15 October, 2008it will be reducing its fuel surcharge by $2.50 per one way journey. This reduction has been made possible by the easing of world oil prices that now appear to have stabilized at around $100 a barrel. LIAT’s current surcharge was fixed when oil reached $120 per barrel.

Four SuperClubs Resorts in Jamaica won gold apples at Apple Vacations’ 2008 Golden Apple Awards ceremony last week in Chicago.
