United Vacations is offering up to 50 percent off packages including stays at Starwood Hotels & Resorts for travel March 19 through Sept. 7. The offer is running through March 23. Hotel rates are as low as $85 per room, per night plus tax.

Delta Air Lines is cutting international capacity by 10 percent; this follows an announcement in December that it would reduce its capacity systemwide in 2009 by 6 to 8 percent.

Chile’s leading airline LAN LAN.SN LFL.SN plans to issue bonds worth up to $200 million to finance investments and refinance debt, in the latest of a flurry of Chilean corporate bond issuance in 2009, the country’s market regulator said.

Norwegian Cruise Line named industry veteran Roberto Martinoli as president and COO. He is responsible for all aspects of fleet operations, including the construction of NCL’s largest Freestyle Cruising vessel, Norwegian Epic. He reports to NCL’s CEO Kevin Sheehan, who formerly held the president title.

Disney Cruise Line will name its two new ships the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy. Construction on the two ships commenced last week at Germany’s Meyer Werft shipyard. The Dream is scheduled to enter service in 2011, the Fantasy in 2012.

Baha Mar Resorts in Nassau, Bahamas, inked a formal agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corp. to construct the multibillion-dollar Baha Mar Resort on Cable Beach.
