WestJet Airlines said Southwest Airlines’ progress on the implementation of the code-share program will be delayed. With the recessionary revenue environment, Southwest has decided to re-direct a portion of its resources dedicated to the code-share project towards other near-term revenue opportunities, according to a WestJet press release.
Expedia.com is permanently eliminating change fees and cancel fees on all hotel, car rental and cruise reservations, and on virtually all flight reservations. In addition, Expedia.com no longer charges online air booking fees. Expedia.com’s announcement that it would eliminate its air booking fees for flights booked online follows a promotion-based trial which began in March.
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority appointed Jacinth Henry-Martin to serve as manager of U.S. operations, working out of the authority’s New York office. She will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the organizations offices in New York and Washington, D.C.
