This fall Sandals Resorts invites Canadian travel agents to register for four-night FAM trips to their properties in Jamaica. While in Jamaica agents will be able to participate in educational on-resort workshops designed to increase product knowledge and increase sales.
Solomon Islands is seeing a steady increase in the number of visitor arrivals in the second quarter of 2009. The latest figure released by the Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau (SIVB) indicated an 8 percent increase to 4,832 compared to the same period last year.
Delta Air Lines reported system traffic in July 2009, including both Delta and Northwest operations, decreased 2.5 percent compared to July 2008 on a 3.6 percent decrease in capacity, and load factor increased one point to 87.7 percent.
JetBlue is planning a complete overhaul of its True Blue customer loyalty program. The new program is scheduled to launch Sept. 28, 2009, and makes TrueBlue more rewarding, more flexible, and more valuable for the airline’s passengers. It also changes the way points are earned and redeemed.
Hilton Hotels Corporation announced that Chuck Sullivan has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, global online services. Mr. Sullivan will report to Paul Brown, Hilton president, global brands and commercial services.
