The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) plans to build a new passenger check-in, screening and boarding area within the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal that will improve passenger comfort, increase terminal efficiency and position Cruiseport Boston for continued growth. The project will expand the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal by 40 percent.
The Walt Disney Co.’s parks and resorts division saw a 25 percent drop in operating income for fiscal year 2009 to $1.4 billion, compared to the previous year. Revenues for the division were down 7 percent to $10.7 billion for the year ended Oct. 3.

Three hotels opened recently in Martinique, adding to the island’s total room inventory of 6,000 rooms. The Pomme Cannelle Village, in the north of the island, offers 16 guest apartments and targets extended-stay visitors who want to hike and explore the region. Weekend, 15-day and one-month rates are offered.
