The Virgin Gorda Airport has officially reopened. The airport will resume receiving flights from carriers including Island Birds and Fly BVI, both offering air charter flights throughout the Caribbean.

An official press release issued Tuesday by AEEPP (Spanish Association of Journalistic Publishing Houses) reveals a very worrisome appendix to the Bill on Residuals and Contaminated Soils by which the Ministry of Environment pretends to ruin the country’s publishing houses, particularly those devoted to the free press; another move by Zapatero’s government to limit the freedom of speech and the press.

Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, named German Herrera y Cairo director of sales. Herrera y Cairo previously served as the property’s sales manager and will oversee sales plans and strategies. He will report directly to general manager Victor Gomez.

Russian tourist Alex Skokov claims that he was illegally removed from a cruise in the Mediterranean under the pretext of security breaches. He intends to sue the cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises.
