A Spanish tourist was killed in a robbery in the north Colombian city of Barranquilla Wednesday just after the city tightened security measures for the upcoming carnival. According to local newspaper El Heraldo, the woman was shot early Wednesday morning. Police said they have arrested the killer.

“Ernest Littles, president of the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad & Tobago, tendered his resignation today,” announced George Stanley Beard, chairman, on Friday.  “We deeply appreciate his years of dedication to forwarding the mission of tourism and hospitality for Trinidad & Tobago and we are grateful for his many substantial achievements.”
