Antigua’s Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation John Maginley continues to defend the Airport Administration Charge in the face of criticism by stakeholders that its recent introduction could spell trouble for visitor arrivals to the country.

The number of foreigners visiting Colombia grew only slightly in the first nine months of 2012 compared to the same period last year. According to statistics released by the Trade Ministry, 1.322,787 foreigners entered the country between January and September.

Russian air carrier Transaero will begin nonstop service from Moscow to Montego Bay on Jan. 1, 2013. The service, which will be carried on a Boeing 777 with 300 seats, was announced at a press briefing Thursday by Tourism Minister Dr. Wykeham McNeill.
