Carrole Ann Marie Guntley, Director General, in Jamaica’s Ministry of Tourism, Entertainment and Culture has been nominated to receive a Hall of Fame Tourism Award at the African Diaspora World Tourism Award on April 27, 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia. The three-day event will be held at the Airport Marriott Hotel April 26-28, 2013.

The Lighthouse Bay Resort in Antigua and Barbuda is the most expensive hotel in the Caribbean. This finding is the result of a new survey conducted by CaribbeanResorts.net, which based its rankings on each hotel’s average rate for the most affordable double room. The Caribbean’s high travel season of January to March 2013 served as the basis of comparison.

Masked gunmen have held up a tour bus in St Lucia, robbing about 50 sightseers from a cruise ship. The tourists were from Celebrity Cruise line's Eclipse vessel were robbed by gunmen in St Lucia.
