Gunmen Rob Cruise Ship Tourists in St. Lucia

Masked gunmen have held up a tour bus in St Lucia, robbing about 50 sightseers from a cruise ship. The tourists were from Celebrity Cruise line's Eclipse vessel were robbed by gunmen in St Lucia.

No one was hurt but tourism minister Lorne Theophilus said the robbery of cruise passengers on a shore excursion in Soufriere was an "unfortunate and a horrible scenario".

The tourists were from Celebrity Cruise line's Eclipse vessel. The company is a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises. Police declined to give information about their investigation. St Lucia Tourist Board chairman Mathew Beaubrun said the robbery was a "rare incident".
