The St Lucia Tourist Board has named Tracey Warner-Arnold to lead the organization’s marketing unit. Warner-Arnold takes over from former vice president of marketing and sales Nerdin St Rose. Warner-Arnold said her immediate goals were “to build upon the success achieved by St Rose and drive the marketing arm of the Tourist Board to continuously raise the bar.”

The new NH El Rancho Hotel in Haiti has completed construction, the Ministry of Tourism announced. The property, located in the Petion-Ville suburb of Port-au-Prince, is set for an official inauguration in October, a government spokesperson told Caribbean Journal.

The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority has completed $20 million in recent improvements to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The LVCVA implemented the changes, which are designed to enhance the customer experience, to the 3.2 million-square-foot facility over the past two years while working around shows and events in the building.
Bermuda recorded a four per cent decline in tourist arrivals during the first six months of the year with tourism officials blaming the cancellation of at least four cruise ship calls. Figures released show that for the second quarter of the year dropped by more than 12 percent compared to last year.
