Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina held talks this week with Luis Emilio Rodriguez Amiami, president of ASONAHORES, the country’s hotel and restaurant association. The 20-minute conversation covered the progress of tourism in the country, according to a statement from the National Palace. 

This month marked the official launch of RentingCarz.com, a new online car rental portal that specializes in serving Caribbean travellers for all car rental needs when traveling to top US destinations including, but not limited to, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, as well as other destinations within the US, Canada and Europe.

The organization of inventory into a hierarchy defines the tourist and gastronomic destinations that are to be developed and it avoids the “bartering of political interests” due to the lack of scientific methodologies. There are different methods and criterions that can bring about tourist and gastronomic projects. Giving priority to some zones precisely depends on the concentration of quality and quantity in the gastronomic and tourist inventory of each one. Doing this is one of the decisive steps to move forward.

The Real Casa de la Moneda in Madrid, Spain, was the venue of choice for the eighth edition of the AEEPP Awards, recognitions granted by the Spanish Association of Periodical Publications.
