Residents in Antigua & Barbuda hoping to fly Nevis this winter season might be disappointed to learn LIAT won’t be flying the route.

Nevis Tourism Minister Mark Brantley, speaking to SKN Vibes, lamented the decision by LIAT to pull the service for the winter.

Air Europa has announced the launch of a new route to San Juan, Puerto Rico. From the 22nd May 2014, the airline will fly twice weekly to the Caribbean Island, from London Gatwick via Madrid Barajas.

Royal Caribbean International’s 5,400-passenger Allure of the Seas is shortening its stay in two Eastern Caribbean ports as because of a problem reaching its top speed. The 225,282-ton vessel now will call on Nassau from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. (instead of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and on St. Thomas from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (instead of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
