The International Air Transport Association (IATA) called on the Venezuelan government urgently to honor its commitment made in March to permit the repatriation of $3.9 billion of airline funds at fair exchange rates.

The Jamaica Tourist Board has announced director of tourism John Lynch will step down from the role at the end of May.

Lynch has served in the role for five and a half years and will now help search for a new director before departing in around a months’ time.

A New Zealand tourist has been shot dead in Argentina by two men on motorcycles who attempted to snatch his bag. The man, aged in his early 30s, was walking with two other tourists through a park in the city of Mendoza when the group was ambushed about 4pm on Monday.
