Boeing and Embraer have announced that they will open a joint research centre to advance a sustainable aviation biofuel industry in Brazil. The research will focus on technologies that address gaps in a supply chain for sustainable aviation biofuel in Brazil, such as feedstock production and processing technologies.

The executive director of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, Jane Scaletta, will leave her post by the end of this month. Ms. Scaletta resigned last week after serving the nonprofit organization for two-and-a-half years. She is taking a new job as general manager for destination management company AlliedPRA in Orlando, Florida. 

More than five centuries after Christopher Columbus’s flagship, the Santa Maria, was wrecked in the Caribbean, archaeological investigators think they may have discovered the vessel’s long-lost remains – lying at the bottom of the sea off the north coast of Haiti. It’s likely to be one of the world’s most important underwater archaeological discoveries.
