PortMiami, the Cruise Capital of the World, broke another world record processing nearly 4.8 million multi-day cruise passengers in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. In the 2014 cruise season MSC Cruises began sailing one of its newest ships, MSC Divina.
Over 50 pictures taken by Spanish photojournalist Enrique Meneses during the revolutionary fight – carried by the Rebel Army in Sierra Maestra – are exhibited here to salute the 56th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
2014 came to an end for Casa del Caribe with the launch of "Deep Inside Cuba (La Cuba Profunda)", a cultural product that fosters unique options and destinations in terms of nature and authenticity, related to the diversity of expressions of popular culture and traditions featured by Haitian-descended settlements and communities, as well as temple houses devoted to African-rooted religiousness and the House of Popular Religions.
Cerro del Cardenillo is nestled right in the heart of Sierra Maestra, with an ancient settlement of miners. The Monument to the Cimarron is perched on the highest spot to extol Slave Rebelliousness. There is also a temple devoted to the Patron Saint of Cuba. El Cobre is based 20 kilometers away from Santiago de Cuba City, with sparks of Caribbean identity.
