Jeff Clarke is being appointed CEO and president of its Travel Distribution Services (TDS) Division, effective as of May 1. Mr. Clarke joins TDS from CA, formerly Computer Associates Inc., where he had served as the software company´s chief operating officer since 2004.

British Airways jacked up the fuel surcharge on its long-haul flights from April 21 as a result of further rises in the price of fuel. The long-haul fuel surcharge on tickets sold and issued in the UK will increase from £30 per sector to £35 per sector (£70 return trip).
Jamaicans applying for visitor´s visas to the United States last week began paying more, as the US consulate is now applying a rate of 66 Jamaican dollar, pushing the non-refundable visa fee to 6,600 Jamaican dollars. The US consulate said in a statement other consular fees will also change as a result of this exchange rate.
Galileo International has added over 15 e-ticketing carriers to the Galileo GDS since the end of January 2006. This takes the total number of carriers offering e-ticketing through Galileo to well over one hundred and means that Galileo is now e-ticket enabled for over 70 percent of tickets processed through the GDS.
