International bookings over Thanksgiving are skyrocketing past last year’s numbers despite a weak dollar and higher fares according to Travelocity. While Travelocity’s 2007 holiday data shows international trips are up a whopping 22 percent over last season, it also reveals travelers are even staying slightly longer during their foreign visits.

An American tourist died Tuesday after being struck by a train in Cape Town, police said. Police spokesman Captain Elliot Sinyangana told the South African Press Association that the train hit the man while he was taking photographs at 2:00pm, local time.
