Berlin._ The Berlin 2002 International Tourism Fair, one of the world’s major events of its kind, promoted Latin America as one of the top tourist destinations under the sun.
The fair, which successfully closed on Wednesday, showed off ample and assorted pavilions tricked out by the Latin American nations in search of European tourists.
Oranjestad._ Aruba is making a splash at the 26th Annual Beneath The Sea Exposition which is starting this Friday March 22nd at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey and will last till March 24th.
Castro E. Perez, Aruba´s eco tourism project manager, will be at the expo to educate people about the Aruba Perrier Reef Care Project and diving in Aruba. The project was launched eight years ago to raise awareness and encourage preservation of Aruba´s marine environment.
Havana._ Cuba is bracing to put on its best bib and tucker at the Berlin Tourism Exchange, one of the world’s major tourism fairs, scheduled for March 16 through 20 and with a view to captivate Europe’s market.
In fact, the opening ceremony for this grand event will be starred by a numerous delegation of Cuban artists that will fill the Berlin’s fairgrounds with colors and sound beats from the Caribbean.
San Juan._ From May 8 to 11, Puerto Rico will host the 6th Caribbean Travel Exchange at the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Resort.
The event is organized by American Airlines and the fair will include seminars, workshops on products, a trade show, hotel inspections, panoramic tours, as well as previous and post tours.

St. Croix._ Hundreds of boats of all shapes and sizes are being readied for competition in what will be the largest ever International Rolex Regatta in the U.S. Virgin Islands March 28 through 31.
The 29th annual yacht race is a Caribbean Easter tradition held in the waters surrounding the United States Virgin Islands. It will mark the first time this event has been extended from three to four days of competition.
