NCL Corp. has unveiled a $100 million brand identity campaign in a bid to convey its “Freestyle Cruising” concept to consumers and the trade via a national television, print, online and street advertising campaign, a new Web site and all new promotional materials. “We´re not targeting any age, demographic, or income level,” said Scott Rogers, NCL´s senior vice president of marketing and sales at a launching event for the press in New York. “We´re looking for a person who is a nonconformist.”

Responding to travel agents anxious to promote its 2008 World Cruise, Crystal Cruises has set its 13th annual World Cruise earlier than ever. This is the first of the luxury line´s 2008 itineraries to be announced.
Windstar Cruises´ 148-guest Wind Spirit and 308-guest Wind Surf set sail in the Caribbean this winter on 41 voyages featuring half a dozen different itineraries roundtrip from St. Thomas and Barbados. Sailing from December through March, both ships combine out-of-the-way and quaint Caribbean ports with an intimate experience akin to sailing on one´s personal mega-yacht.
Royal Caribbean International said it will begin sailing out of ports in Asia in December 2007, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The Vision-class Rhapsody of the Seas will offer a series of sailings to ports in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, sourcing mostly from the local Asian markets, Royal Caribbean said.
