Amadeus IT Holding, S.A., parent company of the Amadeus Group, a leading transaction processor and provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel and tourism industry, has announced year-on-year financial and operating results for the year-to-date (nine months ended September 30, 2011).

Air France/KLM reported a 2.1 percent rise in revenues to 6.79 billion euros for the quarter that ended in September and operating results of 397 million euros. For the six months ending in September, it reported a 5.2 percent rise in revenues to 13 billion euros and operating results of 252 million euros.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), a global leader specialized in managing business travel and meetings and events, announces that it has acquired Net Tour Viagens E Turismo Ltda (Net Tours) through its local Brazilian subsidiary, Wagons Lits Turismo Do Brasil Ltda (CWT Brazil). International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG), the airline entity formed by the merger of British Airways (BA) and Iberia, has reached an agreement in principle to buy British Midland (BMI) from Deutsche Lufthansa.

JetBlue Airways and Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, have announced the launch of a new interline agreement that will offer customers new travel options from JetBlue destinations in the U.S. to Brussels, Belgium, and then onward to India.
