Based on the success of JetBlue Airways’ two existing City Ticket Offices in the Dominican Republic, the airline is opening of two new cash ticket sales locations on the island –one in Santo Domingo Oriental at the Mega Centro shopping center and the other in San Francisco de Macoris, 55 kilometers northeast of Santiago, at Multicentro La Sirena shopping center.

Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for April 2009. System traffic in April, including both Delta and Northwest operations, decreased 7.7 percent compared to April 2008 on a 7.1 percent decrease in capacity, and load factor declined 0.5 points to 81.4 percent.

JetBlue Airways Corporation reported that its traffic in April decreased 2.7 percent from April 2008, on a capacity decrease of 4 percent. Load factor for April 2009 was 80.6 percent, an increase of 1.1 points from April 2008.

American Airlines has begun flying reconfigured Boeing 757 international aircraft on trans-Atlantic flights on international routes. American is in the process of reconfiguring 18 of its 124 Boeing 757s for use on international routes, and Thursday’s JFK-to-Brussels flight is the first to make an international journey with the new configuration.
