JetBlue Airways is adding flights to the Caribbean and Latin America from South Florida, hoping to cash in on South Floridians' roots in those areas. The New York-based airline operates hundreds of flights across the United States.

Eagle Ground Handling, American Eagle's ground handling business, has been awarded a contract to handle United Express ground handling operations at nine U.S. locations. The United Express ground handling operations at the newly contracted stations will be transitioned to Eagle Ground Handling in the coming months.

St Kitts Tourism and International Travel Minister Richard Skerritt, wants Caribbean governments to reach out to grounded low-cost airline REDjet to ensure its return to the Caribbean Skies soon. Skerritt told journalists covering the STC-13 meeting in Guyana that there is a “pent-up” demand for air travel in the region.

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of Southwest Airlines, will start daily nonstop service between Chicago Midway International Airport and Cancun International Airport on June 3, subject to Mexican government approval.
