SkyWest, Inc. announced that it has signed a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) with American Airlines, Inc. to operate 23 Bombardier CRJ200 regional jet aircraft under the American Eagle designation. SkyWest serves markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Caribbean sub-regional airline Winair will recommence scheduled flights between St. Maarten and St. Kitts & Nevis on October 29, 2012. That announcement was made by St. Kitts & Nevis Minister of Tourism & International Transport.
