Travelers who book flights aboard LATAM Airlines Group carriers, including LAN Airlines and its affiliates, and TAM Airlines, through Jan. 28 will earn discounts of up to 40 percent on flights throughout South America.

AirTran Airways will begin service from Chicago Midway to two Caribbean destinations beginning this spring, parent Southwest Airlines said Thursday. It’ll operate flights four days a week to Montego Bay, Jamaica, beginning April 14, and four days a week to Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic, beginning May 19.

Airberlin reports it is expanding the existing codeshare agreement with its oneworld partner American Airlines by a total of 43 new connecting flights within the U.S. From March 23, 2013 about 32 connecting destinations in American Airlines’ Chicago hub will be made available to airberlin guests.

American Airlines will launch new weekly service to Martinique beginning April 6th.  The new flights represent the first nonstop air service between Martinique and the U.S. mainland since 2008.
