Amadeus has announced a partnership with HRS, a global hotel portal with 250,000 hotels, to distribute those hotels to agents. This is the first time that HRS has distributed its hotels through a GDS. Amadeus will integrate HRS hotels, which include 50,000 independent hotels distributed only through HRS.
 

Pegasus Solutions and the Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA) have partnered to launch a groundbreaking Vacation Rental Switch (VRS) in the next 150 days. The new interface will improve online vacation rental shopping, while also enabling vacation rental managers to more easily merchandise their properties.

TUI Cruises, the German premium market company that operates two ships and has a third one on order, has introduced an Android application for use in mobile phones, the company said in a statement.

Expedia.com has updated its app for the iPhone and Android OS, which adds full support for iPad and Android tablets. The original version, introduced in the spring, has become a popular hotel booking application. The tablet upgrade accommodates those travelers who leave their laptops at home and travel with their lighter tablets.
