According to the latest report of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) regarding the number of tourist arrivals, Haiti recorded in 2013, a growth of over 20 percent. The increases were highest last summer (+24.8 percent) than in winter 2013 (+10 percent).

Keith Miller, Owner/CEO at Miller Publishing Company Limited believes that it is only with excellence that Barbados can differentiate its tourism product from the rest of the world. He outlined that with the increased economic challenges, visitors are demanding more value for their money.

Montserrat saw a 10 percent increase in visitor arrivals last year compared to 2012, according to new data from the British Overseas Territory’s government. In total, Montserrat received 15,648 visitors, up from 14,210 in 2012, an increase of 1,438 people.

The number of U.S. visitors to Cuba continues to rise, placing the U.S. market as the second-largest source of visitors to Cuba after Canada, according to a recent study by the U.S.-based Havana Consulting Group. In the first quarter of 2014, 173,550 visitors from the U.S. traveled to Cuba on 1,048 flights from Miami and 109 from Tampa.

Federal Minister of Tourism, Sen. the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt has listed several summer events designed to assist in the economic recovery of the twin-island Federation, he told listeners to Freedom 106.5 FM’s “Good Morning St. Kitts and Nevis”.
