Hilton Hotels Corporation said Andrew Flack has been promoted to vice president of global brand marketing for the Hilton brand. In this newly created position, Mr. Flack will have oversight for Hilton brand marketing strategies and functions worldwide.
InterContinental Budapest on the River Danube, across from Castle Hill and the Royal Palace, has completed a renovation project. The new interior boasts 402 refurbished guest rooms and suites, a new Spa InterContinental, a spaciously updated Club Lounge overlooking the River Danube, and renovations to Corso Terrace (both the restaurant and bar).
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the U.S. is helping St. Lucia and Barbados get security up to international standards for the safety of travelers. St. Lucia will soon induct the 24 security personnel employed at the island’s air and seaports once they complete the Essential Instructor Skills Training and Basic Security Training Courses.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has assessed a civil penalty against United Airlines for failing to disclose to consumers when flights sold by the carrier were being operated under a code-sharing arrangement. United was ordered to cease and desist from further violations and assessed a civil penalty of $80,000.

In March 2010, Secrets St. James Montego Bay and Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay –two new exclusive all-suites resorts- will be situated side by side on a beachfront location.
