Saint Lucia’s Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Senator Allen Chastanet has been named the Caribbean Travel Personality of the Year. Senator Chastanet won the honor at the prestigious 2009 World Travel Awards in London, England over the weekend.

Vueling turned a 68.1 million euros operating profit during the third quarter of the year, with a 26.3 percent operating margin - a 10.2-point increase when compared to the same period one year earlier (operating profit of 24.7 million euros, and a 16.1 percent margin). In the 9 months to September 30th, Vueling made a 71.9m. euros operating profit, a 16.3 percent margin, with a 21.6-point increase on a year earlier.
The travel business activities of Touring Club Schweiz (TCS) are to be taken over and continued by Kuoni Switzerland with effect from 1 December 2009. The business extends to ten travel offices and the provision of travel products that are marketed under the “Reisen TCS” brand.
