Latour, the Latin America division of Isramworld, launched a series of road shows called “Peru, Live the Legend,” which will bring together some of Peru’s travel suppliers, including: TLAN Airlines, Inkaterra Hotel, Westin Luxury Collection, Sol & Luna Hotels, Lima Tours and Orient Express Hotels & Trains. The series of breakfast and dinner tradeshows will take place in the following cities: Newton, Mass.; Norwalk, Conn.; Rye Brook, N.Y.; Florham Park, N.Y.; Teaneack, N.J., New Yorkand Philadelphia.

Figures released by tourism site VisitEngland also suggested that business travel within the UK has dropped slightly. Business trips have decreased by 1 percent while the number of people visiting friends and family in the UK saw a 2 percent increase.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., one of Haiti’s largest foreign investors for almost 30 years, today announced the completion of the L’Ecole Nouvelle Royal Caribbean – one of the first schools to be built in Haiti after the earthquake. The strategically located 6,500 square foot school complex is in northern Haiti near nine towns and villages: Labadie, Cormier, Ducroix, Fort Bourgeois, Marchegalles, Cimetiere-Juif, Champ de Mars, Port Francais and Cap Haitien.

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino appointed Fred Hoffmann as the new general manager of Aruba’s premier beachfront property. In his new position, Hoffmann will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, including food and beverage, staff service training, public relations, sales, marketing and more. Most recently, Hoffmann served two years as the general manager of Hyatt Key West Resort & Spa.
