Spanish airline Iberia has been bound to cancel 431 flights –roughly 40 percent of its schedule- between March 4 and 8 as a result of the strike against the company’s overhauling. The strike’s first week ended last Friday with nearly 1,300 cancelled flights among Iberia, Iberia Express, Air Nostrum and Vueling.

Costa Crociere boss Pier Luigi Foschi has donated a quarter of his pay package to the Costa Foundation, set up in the wake of the Costa Concordia tragedy. Mr. Foschi received almost $4 million (£2.6 million) for the year to November 2012, according to regulatory filings by Costa's parent company, Carnival.
