More than a hundred Jamaicans, including journalism students and public relations officers in the tourism sector, packed into a Montego Bay conference room this week and welcomed the first 'International Writing and Public Relations' seminar from the University of the West Indies-Mona, Western Jamaica Campus with rave reviews.

Three weeks into the outbreak of gastroenteritis in Grand Turk and the causative agent has still not been identified. However, Premier, Dr. Rufus Ewing, at a press briefing on Thursday, reported that collaborating agencies, including the Center for Disease Control (CDC), continue to investigate the matter.

The United States and Guyana have signed an agreement establishing an Open Skies air transportation relationship between the two countries. The United States has over 100 Open Skies partners around the world and they warmly welcome Guyana as the newest member of this vital international partnership.

Jean-Cyril Spinetta has confirmed he will be stepping down as chairman and chief executive of the Air France-KLM airline group. He will be joined by vice chairman and deputy chief executive and Leo van Wijk, with both leaving their posts on July 1st. The decision was confirmed at an Air France-KLM board meeting held in Paris earlier.
