St. Kitts minister of tourism and international transport, Ricky Skerritt, has announced the appointment of Racquel Brown as the new chief executive for the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. The new appointment follows the departure of Acting chief executive, Carolyn James.

The awards, organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and TravelMole, recognize sustainable tourism products and services in the region. Nominees will be judged on sustainable tourism best practices which improve long-term competitiveness and preserve the authenticity of tourism products or services.

The Barcelona CVB was selected from a list of candidates in recognition of their proven track record of working closely with PCOs and by being internationally recognized as one of the best Convention Bureaux in the world.

Thousands of flights have been cancelled in North America after winter storms swept the United States and Canada. Some 7,741 flights were delayed and 3,483 were cancelled in the United States on Sunday, with hundreds more under threat today.
