Delta Vacations, a leading provider of quality, customizable vacation packages, today announced its top 10 Caribbean vacation destinations for 2014. The list represents Delta Vacations Caribbean destinations with the most growth based on room-nights booked from 2009 to 2013. In all, Delta Vacations has seen an increase in booked room-nights of approximately 250 percent in these vacation destinations.

LATAM Airlines Group SA and its subsidiaries, the leading airline group in Latin America, today reported its preliminary monthly traffic statistics for December 2013 compared to December 2012.

St Lucia reached an all-time high for stopover arrivals in 2013, according to preliminary totals, the St Lucia Tourist Board said Monday. The island received more than 315,000 visitors in 2013, up from 312,404 in 2012, which was also an all-time record.

Costa Rica’s new immigration law goes into effect March 1. Tourists that travel out of Costa Rica in order to renew their visa every 90 days, have new rules to follow. The new Costa Rica law seeks to crack down on perpetual tourists. Regulations soon will be published in the La Gaceta official newspaper.

George Markantonis has been named the Caribbean Hotelier of the Year, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association announced on Sunday evening. Markantonis is the president and managing director of Kerzner International Bahamas and Atlantis Paradise Island.
