Rosewood Hotels and Resorts has promoted Graeme Davis to vice president of operations for the Americas, the company announced. In the new role, David will “provide operational support for Rosewood’s existing portfolio, as well as direction for new acquisitions and projects under development,” the company said in a release.

In a bid to stimulate discussion around issues affecting the tourism industry the Tourism Product Development Company Ltd (TPDCo) will stage its Tourism Essay Competition 2014. Among the objectives of the competition are to increase awareness of the importance of the industry to national development, encourage participation in the discussion of the issues affecting the industry; enhance the academic component of the school curriculum through collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

Fifteen films from the Dominican Republic, France, Haiti, Colombia, Cuba, Canada, Guadalupe, Cayman Islands, Bahamas and United States are slated to be screened at Enramadas’ Cuba Movie Theater, through November 2.

The Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda unveiled the Princess Marina as part of a more than $90 million redevelopment project at the 410-room property. The marina offers 59 berths ranging in size from 30 to 75 feet and can accommodate pleasure craft, tournament fishing boats and super yachts.
