Seven people have died following a light aircraft crash in the Dominican Republic, with the dead believed to include the pilot and six tourists. The single-engine Piper PA-32 came down shortly after takeoff from Punta Cana Airport on route to Arroyo Barril Airport, Samana.
Miami International Airport is set to add another international carrier to its lineup of 100 carriers with the announcement of new Miami-Aruba service by Aruba Airlines. The airline is scheduled to begin scheduled service on July 2 between MIA and Queen Beatrix International Airport.

United Airlines will cut its daily service between Newark and Bermuda to three flights a week from Sept. 8 to Nov. 17, due to lack of demand. The carrier suspended its service to Bermuda last winter from Dec. 3 to April 2. United will suspend all service from Newark to Bermuda during the winter season.
