Management and Operation of the Radisson Cable Beach Resort, the Nassau Beach Hotel and the Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino have been assumed by Baha Mar Development Co., which plans a 2,700-room resort complex in Nassau´s cable Beach area.
The three resorts will remain open and will operate under their existing flags while a $15 million capital improvement program is underway through December, Travel Weekly reported.
Almond Resorts, the Barbados-based all inclusive hotel resort, has taken over the management of St. James Club, formerly the Wyndham Morgan Bay, and has promised to spend over US$40 million to rebrand and improve the property.
The take-over will be effective from May 31 and will be called Almond Morgan Bay, Ralph Taylor, the chairman and managing director of Almond Resorts pointed out.
Spanish hotel chain Sol Meliá has just announced the grand opening of its 22nd establishment in Cuba, scheduled for early 2006. The Meliá-Las Dunas will strengthen the Majorca-based company’s stance as the number-one foreign hotelier on the island nation.
Amaury Escalona, of Sol Meliá’s Cuba Division, told Prensa Latina News Agency that the Meliá-Las Dunas, located on Cayo Santa Maria, an islet off the northern shore of Villa Clara, in central Cuba, will be ready to go in early 2006.
