Apple Leisure Group, the vertically integrated parent of vacation wholesaler Apple Vacations, the USA 3000 airline, Amstar Destination Management and AM Resorts Management Co., entered into a joint venture with an investor group led by Washington, D.C.-based Playa Hotels & Resorts to buy and manage hotels.

The 694-room Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau moved up the completion date of its new meetings facilities to December 15, two months ahead of schedule.

The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino has adjusted its $40 million renovation schedule and is now slated to reach completion by summer 2008.

Scrub Island, the first resort development in the British Virgin Islands in more than 15 years, topped off its first buildings. Structures topped off include several two to five bedroom villas as well as two buildings in the marina village –home to many of the island’s amenities and the Marina Village rooms and suites.

SuperClubs has extended its “Passport Included” promotion, from Oct. 31 to Dec. 31, 2007. Through “Passport Included,” guests traveling to any of SuperClubs’ Caribbean or Bahamian properties will have the passport renewal or application costs credited to the price of their all-inclusive vacation, if booked by December 31.
