The Hyatt Regency Trinidad opened its online reservations system on November 5. Reservations went “live” and bookings can be made immediately for stays beginning January 4, 2008 and beyond.
The new Temptation Resort & Spa in Cancun, set to open December 21, welcomes guests with the Temptation Opening Special. The new all-inclusive 384-room Temptation Resort & Spa welcomes singles and couples to experience a contemporary take on the all-inclusive holiday.
Dreams Resorts & Spas, an upscale chain, plans to open a property in the Dominican Republic and another six properties in Mexico by fall 2009. The additions will double the brand’s portfolio, with 1,900 new rooms and suites in just two years.
SuperClubs entered the Panama market with its recent groundbreaking on the 300-room Breezes Panama in Playa Blanca, marking the first development in Central America for the Jamaica-based all-inclusive resort firm. The resort, scheduled to open in late 2008, is located on Panama’s south coast fronting the Pacific.
Hilton Cartagena in Colombia announced plans to add 53 rooms with the completion of a $5 million executive tower, scheduled for late November. The new tower, adjacent to the convention center in the hotel’s north wing, will feature 46 executive guest rooms and seven executive suites, all with access to an executive lounge on the 10th floor.
Mexico’s Excellence Playa Mujeres opened for business on November 1. The property is situated on a secluded 20-mile peninsula complete with a remote two-mile stretch of white sand beach; sits just 20 minutes north of Cancun; and is a convenient 30-minute drive from Cancun’s International Airport.
