Conrad Hotels & Resorts, a luxury brand of the Hilton family of hotels, will debut the 250-room, 160-residence Conrad Bimini Resort & Casino in the Bahamas in 2010.

Capella Hotels and Resorts will open the 59-suite Capella Ixtapa in Ixtapa, Mexico, next summer. The resort will be designed to resemble a Mediterranean hillside village with Mexican influences.

The 497-room Reef Atlantis opened its doors yesterday on Paradise Island, Bahamas, marking the completion of Kerzner International’s $1 billion, Phase 3 at the Atlantis complex.

Sandals Regency in St. Lucia will debut six Million Dollar Suites in late 2008. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Caribbean, the new suites boast more than 700 square feet of living space and 400 square feet of outdoor space at a cost of $1 million each.

InterContinental Hotels Group announced that the Holiday Inn San Pedro Sula has become the Crowne Plaza San Pedro Sula. The 122-room, 15-story Crowne Plaza is the first in the country of Honduras and is located in the city of San Pedro Sula and close to the city’s main tourist destinations.

This month Kerzner International will complete its $1 billion Phase III development with the opening of The Reef Atlantis. The new 497-key tower will offer guests home-like accommodations and amenities including a kitchen or kitchen area with a dishwasher, living area with sofa bed and fully-stocked linens and tableware.
