For the first time in five years, travellers paid more on average for their hotel rooms during the first six months of 2012 in all parts of the world, according to the latest Hotels.com Hotel Price Index.

Haiti’s new Royal Oasis hotel will open its doors in Petion-Ville Dec. 12, according to Haiti Tourism Minister Stephanie Villedrouin. The announcement followed a meeting between Villedrouin and Spanish hotel company Occidental Hotels & Resorts, which is managing the project.
